Dr. Claude Bellavance has considerable experience in creating and managing enormous microdata files and in the use of quantitative methods. He is known for his expertise in business history, and for over 15 years contributed at the CIEQ to the development of 19th century census databases. His work and publications on industrial history and the history of energy incorporate aspects of historical, geographical and economic research. He is currently researching industrialization and urbanization in Quebec and is also working on the history of electricity.
